Easter

Easter Sunday is the day we celebrate the victory of Jesus' resurrection. Every Sunday is a reminder of the living Lord. He was crucified, buried, and arose from the grave! And because of this, we too will be victorious over death. Today we had a full house at church. In fact, so full that finding a parking place was hard as well as a seat in the sanctuary. There were many people that I had never seen before... some were home visiting their family, some were absentee members, and I feel certain that some were people who never go to church, but know so well that this is the most important occasion to worship the Lord. But truly... I don't care what got them to church... maybe it was the music, or they wanted to wear their new Easter outfit, or they thought that was just the thing to do.... I don't know... I am just glad they came. They heard the Truth at my church... in song, in a drama presentation, and then by the preaching of the Holy Word of God. What a day to worship!! He is alive... How do I know? Because He lives in me... I am praying each day that He is more of me... and I am less of me. Leaving church today was like a Friday afternoon at five o'clock. There was lots of traffic. Hallelujah!! Praise God... People in this east Texas town were out today worshipping the Lord. Thank you Lord for all the blessings of life. Thank you for your promises, your unfailing love, your mercy. Thank you Lord how you continue to change me. I love you!
