Day 9- July 18- Headed Home

We got up early, loaded the bikes along with our bags, ate our continental breakfast and were on the road a few minutes past 7:00 a. m MST. We had a great time, but thinking of being home was a wonderful thought for me. I love my family and my home, and my familiar surroundings. We traveled through Hobbs, on toward Sweetwater, Abilene, Ft. Worth, Dallas and then toward east Texas. We made few stops except for Dr. Pepper, bathroom breaks and gasoline. However, we did stop at the outlet mall in Corsicana and ate at their Chilis for dinner. We pulled into the parking lot of Patty's apartment a little after 8:00 p.m. CST. My husband was soon there to pick me up along with his favorite girl (Roxie-his dog). My adventure trip was over for this season. It was beautiful touring NM and CO and seeing the mountains and being refreshed with the cool temperatures. I returned to the piney woods and 90 degree temperatures- yes.... home sweet home!
