90 Minutes in Heaven

I just finished reading the book "90 Minutes in Heaven". I was not crazy about how the book was written because sometimes it seemed quite redundant. However, there was lots that I took from this book. It is about a man, Don Piper, who had a terrible car crash and was pronounced dead. However, 90 minutes later he had a pulse. He tells of going to Heaven during this time. Not only does he tell about his experience during those 90 minutes, but he relates all he went through to in his recovery. I found the book very inspirational on how we should live our lives. It is very fast reading... check it out.

I read that several years ago and liked it too.

Hi Dee,

I saw your link on Jen's blog. I too read the book a few years back. I feel like the story and the experience was quite moving, but the author could have improved on his writing skills . . . or told the story through another author. Not one of the better books I've read, but I did learn a lot of medical terminology from it.

Isn't it funny how things work!? I was in Mardel's on Friday looking for a Beth Moore Bible Study to buy my mom for her birthday and I saw this book. Wondered about it, but walked on by. Cool!
BTW...Mardel had an AWESOME sale and I got my mom David, John and Jesus hardcover bible studies and they were only $7.99 each! They are neat books too with hardcovers and "ripped" looking pages. The David one even comes with an audio CD of her teachings on it! I also bought me and my husband copies of all 3 and we started on David and are on Day 3. We are LOVING it. Tonight is my 8th class of Esther and then next week is the last class. I am sad it's gonna be over. I've enjoyed it SO MUCH! I hope you get a chance to do it. Beth certainly knows out how to dig deep and find out way more than you'd ever think to look for!

Hey, if you don't mind me asking, what kind of church do you go to? (Baptist, non-denominational, etc.)

This book was very comforting to our family during Laura's illness. When she was in extreme pain we would read the chapter describing heaven to her. It calmed her down and her pain went away.
